HABITAT FOR HUMANITY
The Bartlesville Area Habitat for Humanity builds and renovates an average of
three houses a year. This is accomplished with volunteer labor from First Presbyterian
Church and others in the community.
The mission of Habitat for Humanity is to
work in partnership with God and people to build and renovate houses so that
there are decent houses in which every person can experience God's love and grow
into all that God intends.
Volunteers can help by:
• Physically working on a home; painting, nailing, moving dirt
• Praying for the volunteers and the prospective homeowner
• Contributing financial support
• Helping with newsletter mailings

CONCERN
"I was hungry and you fed me, thirsty and you gave me drink; I was a
stranger and you received me in your homes, naked and you clothed me…" Matthew 25:35-36
Those in need of food, medicine, financial help with rent or utilities, and
affordable child care turn to Churches United for Community Concern. CONCERN
is an ecumenical organization with the mission of helping those less fortunate
in our community.
The CONCERN Emergency Service program helps with food, rent,
utility
assistance, and purchase of medicine.
The CONCERN Child Learning Center provides
quality, Christian day care for
infants through school-age children. Before and after school care is available. Day care is affordable because of a sliding scale for fees and Department of
Human Services assistance.
Volunteers can help by:
Volunteer to pack groceries in the food pantry
Rock babies in the infant room in day care
Read to the children in day care
Donate food and other items from the needs list
Pray for those providing the services and those using the services
