Worship is the centerpiece of our week. It is the foundation of all that we are in Christ and all that we do as Christians.
In our Traditional Worship Service,
we gather in the Presence of God, Proclaim God’s Word, and Respond to God’s
Word as we depart into the week. It draws on a strong heritage of worship in the Presbyterian Church. Liturgy, hymns, choir, organ, and an occasional orchestra are normal for this service. Each Sunday, we give glory to God by drawing
on the outstanding music of our choir, as well as the vibrant life of young
and old alike. The Sacrament of Communion is celebrated once a month. Come and experience God’s grace with us!
Throughout the year,
we celebrate the different seasons of the Church (Advent, Christmas, Lent, and
Easter). These Seasons follow the birth, life, death, and resurrection of Christ
and help us to center our lives in God.

ADVENT starts off the year as we spend
4 weeks preparing for Christ’s
birth on Christmas Morning. The color of Advent is purple - to signify a period
of preparation.
CHRISTMAS begins Christmas day and continues through January 6th. This season is typically known as the “Twelve Days of Christmas” and
ends on Epiphany Sunday as we follow the journey of the Wise Men and celebrate
the coming of Christ. The color of Christmas is white - to signify Christ.
LENT begins with Ash Wednesday and is a season of preparation
for the death of Christ. During this period, we spend our time in self-examination
as we reflect on what Jesus Christ means to us. Lent culminates in Holy Week
and ends on Good Friday, which lays witness to Christ on the cross. The color
of Lent is purple.
EASTERTIDE begins on Easter Day in celebration of the Resurrection! This is a season of high praise and excitement as we proclaim Christ’s
victory over death. The season ends on Pentecost Sunday, which celebrates God’s
gift of the Holy Spirit. The color of Easter is white.
